These magnificent oyster plates with their slippery decoration represent the must of what is done for the tasting of these seashells.
They date from the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century. They were a wedding gift for a young girl born in 1878 (the grandmother of the elderly gentleman who had them) and proves that the refinement of the kitchen has always inspired the creators of dishes and the lovers of the 'table art.
With their basketwork motif at the bottom to evoke the fishing baskets, these marvels of 24 cm signed "Longchamp terre de fer" are equipped with six locations of shells. A chic elegance to the French to feast on a meal of excellence.
No blows, no cracks, no lack of slip: it is perfect!
Extremely rare to find in this state!
